Tech3 KTM Factory Racing duo aims to continue upward trend in Aragón
Following a successful comeback at the British Silverstone Circuit just over one week ago, Danilo Petrucci and Iker Lecuona impatiently wait to jump back on their KTM RC16 machines this weekend to start the 13th round of the 2021 MotoGP World Championship this Friday at 9.55 local time with Free Practice one.
With his third top 10 result this year in his pocket, Tech3 KTM Factory Racing’s Petrucci is eager to turn around fortunes once again after a tricky first half of the season. Likewise, Lecuona targets high at one of his Spanish home rounds at the MotorLand Aragón this weekend after he scored his second best premier class result in Silverstone, where he fought to seventh position.

“I can’t wait and I’m very curious to try my bike in another new place, as I didn’t ride in Aragón with the KTM RC16 yet. Last time out in Silverstone we had a pretty good result, a race that was really fun and especially a very good feeling with the bike, so I hope to maintain this in Aragón and finish in the top 10 once again.” – Danilo Petrucci, 17th, 36 points

“For Aragón this weekend, I simply want to keep my spirit. With my sixth and my seventh position in Austria and England I reached my best results to date and I’m very happy about these last races. So I really hope I can just continue that way.” – Iker Lecuona, 19th, 33 points
“We are back to the Tech3 headquarters after a successful weekend in Silverstone, where both, Iker and Danilo ended up in the top 10. Now we are very excited to move on to Aragón, where we got great results with both of our riders last year, as Miguel finished in P6 and Iker in P9. Therefore, I am confident that the KTM RC16 should be competitive there and we know that both, Iker and Danilo are in a good shape.”
“Yet, the MotorLand should bring back some sunshine and good track conditions. This is a place the whole paddock loves to visit. The track itself and the paddock facilities are great and after Silverstone we will again have spectators there, which is fantastic news. So, everything is ready for the Tech3 KTM Factory Racing team to enjoy a nice week of racing and hopefully attain another top 10 result with our two riders.” – Hervé Poncharal, Team Manager
