Takaaki Nakagami thrilled at progressive test

Takaaki Nakagami ended a productive two-day test at Misano on a high as he finished second fastest in the final session.

Following last weekend’s San Marino GP, the MotoGP paddock reconvened at the Italian venue on Tuesday and Wednesday and the LCR Honda IDEMITSU rider was able to make encouraging progress on the set-up of his RC213V ahead of the final four rounds of the 2021 World Championship.

Taka tried a variety of new items and significantly improved both the speed and feeling on his Honda machinery over the course of the two days in Rimini. Having finished fourth fastest overall on day one after completing 57 laps, Taka was back amongst the pacesetters throughout Wednesday and eventually ended P4 on the combined times sheet of the second day (his best lap time of both days) of the Misano test.
