Taka thrilled to be back at Silverstone

LCR Honda IDEMITSU rider Takaaki Nakagami is excited to return to Silverstone this weekend with the British Grand Prix back on the MotoGP calendar having missed out last year.

The Japanese star heads to England after encouraging signs in the recent double-header in Austria and will now be hoping to put it all together at one of his favourite venues.

Having posted a fine fifth place in the Austrian GP, Taka followed up with a points finish in a chaotic Styrian race a week later at the Red Bull Ring. With three podium finishes at Silverstone to his name in the smaller classes – including a Moto2 victory in 2017 – he’ll be looking to challenge towards the front again this weekend.

“I’m so happy to have a race here at Silverstone, because it was 2019 when we last visited. It’s a good track for me and I’ve had some nice results here, including a win in Moto2, so I’ll do my very best as usual to get a good result on Sunday.
