Álex Márquez ready to go again in Misano

Álex Márquez is retaining a positive mindset as he heads to Misano for round 14 of the MotoGP World Championship. After a run of three successive top 10 finishes, the LCR Honda CASTROL rider endured a tough weekend in Aragón last time out, but is confident of putting that behind him at what is a home race for his team.

The Spaniard has good memories of Misano with two previous podiums in the lower classes and a seventh place at the Italian venue last season. As he did in Aragón – when he was fourth in FP1 – Álex will look to push hard from the off to ensure he is competing at the front end of the field throughout.

Álex Márquez: “We’re at the Misano race after a weekend when we weren’t so lucky, we made mistakes, but I am feeling really positive again and looking forward to starting in a good way. We had a really good second race here last year and it’s a track I like, so I’m really motivated and will try to be competitive from the beginning. It’s a track that is very complicated in some parts – especially the first sector where there are many chicanes – so one really needs to be accurate. But I hope and believe we can have a good weekend.”
